So you finally collected your last Archive Portrait. You've got all fifteen of them, right? Oh, looks like you still need that Pulaski AP from the Seasons We'd Rather Forget expansion. What's that? Your distributor didn't give you the pre-order incentive alternate-image Lumba? Don't worry; I'm sure you can find one on an online auction site sometime soon... I just hope you don't end up paying more than it's worth.
Competitors of Kivas Fajo met with similar disappointment regularly when viewing his unparalleled collection of priceless artifacts stolen from across the galaxy. In that spirit, Fajo's Menagerie assists players in building their equipment stores, and rewards them for the relative size of their collections. As an Order, you'll only be able to pick up the bonus on your own turn, and your Bat'leths won't count towards the number of cards you draw.
This handy interrupt makes sense to include in a few different deck archetypes: Ferengi players with multiple Computers can increase their hand size easily; Android decks can download Data's Emotional Chip quickly; and an Emergency Transport Unit or three is a good idea for anyone trying to avoid the ill effects of an Unknown Microorganism.
It's no secret that some of Second Edition's most powerful cards have less than three lines of gametext; At What Cost?, Outclassed, and Clear Ultimatum have only one purpose that they each perform in a very unambiguous manner. And just as with its predecessors, for Fajo's Menagerie, less is more.
