Hints & strategie notes for this Deck
This Deck was made to give a chance to unusual cards I like. It focus on the big advantage which holograms are famous for: they cannot be killed and so they allow red-shirt actions again and again. If they are "killed", they are only deactivated and can be switched on again in your next turn.
To get safe about playing with -personnel see the Glossary entry: "holographic personnel and equipment". There are some points you have to keep in mind: e.g. -cards may exist on planets only by using Holo-Projectors, therefore this deck is vulnerable against opponents Quinn and Kevin Uxbridge. If a Holo-projector is beeing destroyed any players -personnel without wearing a Mobile Holo-Emitter are erased.
Also they are harmless in away team battle against opposing personnel. They may stun adversaries and win a fight, but it needs Disengage Safety Protocols to make them dangerous.
Cyrus Redblock enhanced dilemmas used in this deck can be changed with anything you have in mind. I decided for them because of the many Holodeck Doors, which make it easy to get Cyrus Redblock.
If Shape-Shift Inhibitor interferes your Holodeck Door downloads, discard Paxim to get what you need. You have a big amount of him, feel free to discard one of him from time to time.
All in all, this is a deck and uses many cards from the Hirogen. But I'm sure your opponent would enjoy the game with you more than facing an opponent playing any hexany crap combined with the ordinary -Skill Monsters.
Seed Phase:
- Seed War Council and Holoprogram: 221B Baker Street at the Hirogen Outpost
- Seed an additional Holoprogram: 221B Baker Street on table
- Download Hogan and Narik to your outpost via Assign Mission Specialists
- Seed the Ressikan Flute under Establish Home Planet
First Turn:
- At the start of the first turn, if it's not your turn, download Q the Referee via Tribunal of Q
- Download Space-Time Portal via Temporal Micro-Wormhole
- Download Hirogen Hunt to get the Olarra (in -mode) as soon as possible. Your compatible (thanks to Children of Light - all) -personnel may report aboard that ship - regardless of quadrant.
- Download Lewis Zimmerman via Quark's Isolinear Rods and report him via Temporal Micro Wormhole aboard your Olarra (this uses your card play this turn). Now he may mix with each affiliation and his special skill allowes your compatible to report aboard for free, once each turn (the outpost is compatible to and only!)
- Instead of your normal card play you can also download Sherlock Holmes via Holoprogram: 221B Baker Street aboard the Hirogen Outpost to run your Card-Draw-Engine
How to use:
- Download Cyrus Redblock via Holodeck Door to enhance the dilemmas used here: your dilemmas with murder in lore first kill one personnel (random selection) when encountered (please note: there is an errata on Ankari "Spirits", it is not affected by Cyrus Redblock any longer!)
- Holoprograms entering the game offline, there are other personnel needed to switch them on. Because of that, this deck has to be supported by "solids" ;-)
- Report Paxim for free once each turn on Talax (Restore Victims). Once you placed a copy of him on the seeded Holoprogram: 221B Baker Street he gets and cannot be killed anymore. (Please note: The copies get the when they have entered the game, therefore it is not possible to report him directly aboard the Olarra.) You may discard him from the Holoprogram: 221B Baker Street anytime to get the copies back to normal. When he gets the -icon, make sure you have a Holo-Projector ready, where the copies are not on a ship with a holodeck.
- Once each turn you may report a Civilian or VIP via War Council for free. Also all those personnel matching are CUNNING +2.
- Once each turn you may discard one of the countless Paxims present to use Crell Mosets special skill to draw cards
- Cause of -cards are not affected by Lower Decks, this deck uses the skill of the glorious Captain Proton to enhance all attributes of each of your personnel with the Holodeck Adventures expansion icon present.
- Iden is allowed to share skills via Rituals of the Hunt while he is in -mode
- Earn Ressikan Flute to collect 5 bonus points for each of your Music-personnel (Chief O'Brien and The Doctor) in play.
- Use the of Leonardo da Vinci to inflict a penalty -25 points to your opponent via Mona Lisa, if he destroys your ship. Discard your flipped Emergency Evacuation and download Escape Pod to save your crew by then. personnel are deactivated, while inside Escape Pod.
- It should be very easy to get 100 points out of just two missions, because various bonus points can be earned for using - or "AMS"-personnel when solving.
Other:
- Instead of one dilemma you can add Bluegill Infestation to this deck. The copies in play of your unique personnel placed there are only "exposed" if killed - but holograms cannot be killed, so you can enjoy a +5 STRENGTH bonus all the time.
- It's possible to add capture-related dilemmas to this deck, enjoying the of Chief O'Brien and Frank Hollander: Brainwash and Captured. ;-)
THIS DECK IS DESIGEND FOR OPEN-FORMAT TOURNAMENTS
Have Fun!
