While you can be virtually certain that almost any non-Borg Away Team will lose someone to a Male's Love Interest, the Female's Love Interest is more chancy, as some affiliations have far fewer "must-have" females than the Federation or Bajorans. But with a proper setup, you can be sure to find a target to be romanced away to the farthest reaches of the quadrant. Once she's there, she can be targeted with battle, Thine Own Self or any other "lone personnel"-targeting card. And if she was a key personnel in your opponent's strategy (Major Rakal, for example, could be a Romulan deck's primary source of Empathy or a vital staffing icon), you may throw a major monkey-wrench in the works.
Combos:
- Matriarchal Society + Female's Love Interest: You're guaranteed a target if the non-Borg Away Team gets past the Matriarchal Society.
- Female's Love Interest + Risky Business: Another guarantee - there will definitely be a one-person Away Team to either die or lose points.
