    GarakGarak (first version)

This Card-Review article was written by Kathy McCracken and was published first on "Decipher's Website (decipher.com)" at Jan 11th, 1999.

This first Garak to appear (as a preview in First Anthology) is actually usable in combination with either Elim Garak or Plain, Simple Garak; unlike those two, who are versions of the Elim Garak persona, Garak does not have any bold type in his lore and is an entirely different persona. In reality, he's a "virtual Garak", an Alternate Universe construct from a Vorta virtual reality scenario. With a Non-Aligned icon as well as Cardassian, he can be used by any affiliation or attempt Cardassian missions with equal ease. CIVILIAN classification lets him report (or download, if it's a Cardassian Nor) to the Promenade Shopsimage, where his Computer Skill will let him commandeer it when he gets to Opsimage. High INTEGRITY and Honor are useful for the Cardassians, and his built-in Security Sacrificeimage can get you out of a jam when a dilemma has randomly selected exactly the personnel you need most to solve the mission.

    Combo:

    • Garak + Cryosatelliteimage: A useful SECURITY for any affiliation, seedable with his Alternate Universe icon.
