    Requirements: ENGINEER + SCIENCE + Geology + Physics
    Special Instructions: Nor or Empok Nor may seed and Process Ore here.
    Affiliations: Any Crew may attempt mission (if same player controls a nor with a Ore Processing Unit here).

    Characteristics: Alpha Quadrant Mission.
    Requires: Process Ore.

    This Card-Review article was written by Kathy McCracken and was published first on "Decipher's Website (decipher.com)" at Jan 11th, 1999.

    This mission allows you to seed a generic Nor (or Empok Norimage) here, despite its lack of a Cardassian (or any other) icon, and also supplies the only space location where you are allowed to Process Oreimage. Its requirements (other than the Geology) fit well into most space-oriented decks.

    At first glance it may look relatively easy for 40 points, and "any crew" missions are usually ripe for mission-stealing. But unlike other "any crew" missions, this one has a catch - you have to control the Nor there before you can attempt it (and it must have an Ore Processing Unitimage attached). While this requirement may protect you from casual mission-stealing by a non-agressive opponent, it's also tempting enough to invite the opponent to commandeer your Nor, enabling him to solve the mission (where he knows what dilemmas to expect) and shutting you out.

    Combos:

    • Mining Survey + self-seeded dilemmas: Make mission-stealing just a little less enticing-but be prepared for defensive tactics against commandeering anyway.
    • Mining Survey + Gortaimage + Vekorimage: Did you ever think you could get 40 points with this odd couple?
