Despite his protestations to Captain Kirk, Dr. McCoy treated a grievously wounded Horta. Thermal concrete from the supplies of the Starship Enterprise made an excellent wound covering.

So why would you want to add Geology to a MEDICAL personnel anyway? I mean, Vekorimage has MEDICAL and Geology already, and everybody plays with Vekor, right? Well... maybe. If you're playing Klingon and trying to set up Council of Warriorsimage with a quick swipe at Relief Missionimage, Vekor's not an option. And if your deck is otherwise heavy on MEDICAL but light on Geology, Bricklayer can give you extra flexibility.

The downloading function is certainly intriguing as well. MEDICAL and OFFICER aren't too hard to come by for any affiliation. Many could generate this combination with mission specialists, thus setting up a first-turn Bricklayer download of a Geology personnel. Of course, since the download is a "once per game" function, it might be better to wait a while. The Cardassians and Ferengi are the bigger winners here, since they lead the pack in OFFICERs with MEDICAL.

But in all this glitz of skill manipulation and downloading, don't lose sight of Bricklayer's first function. You really might want to stock Bricklayer just in case you run across a Hortaimage or two, unless your heart is where your liver should be and you bleed green.
