Study Interstellar Colony

Let's look at the requirements for this mission: SCIENCE, Exobiology, and Anthropology. Anthropology? For a space mission? Yup! Only a handful of missions, including Gunrunning, Market Research, and Investigate Alien Probe, have Anthropology as a requirement in space.

For your Voyager crew in the Delta Quadrant there should be no problem solving this mission. Samatha Wildman can complete it all by herself. Another option is to use Assign Mission Specialists: at the start of the game download Darien Wallace (for Anthropology) and Dr. LaForge (for SCIENCE and Exobiology). With just these two mission specialist personnel, you can solve the mission for 45 points. But don't forget about your Federation crew in the Alpha Quadrant! Just like Samantha, Jadzia Dax and Dulmer can complete Study Interstellar Colony alone. And if you are using a Nor, file a mission report for an additional 5 points. Oh, and if you're already playing with Jadzia, make sure to use the 45-point Symbiont Diagnosis mission... since it has Anthropology and a joined Trill as part of its requirements.

Let's not forget about the other Alpha Quadrant affiliations that can solve Study Interstellar Colony. The Klingons already have one space mission that requires Anthropology - why not build a deck around that one skill? New Contact, Sarthong Plunder, Restock Supplies, and Study Interment Site are all planet missions that require Anthropology that the Klingons can solve (the latter two being in the Delta Quadrant which aids you in building a nice three-mission per quadant deck). Bajorans can File Mission Reports at Deep Space Nine and quickly solve the mission with personnel such as Vedek Dax, Prylar Mond, Mora Pol, and Bareil Antos. And with a Science PADD, the Cardassian Derell can study the swarm alone - and since he's a "support personnel" you can download him on your first turn.

• Study Interstellar Colony + Assign Mission Specialists + Qol + Grand Nagus Gint + Bribery + 75th Rule of Acquisition: Gint special downloads both Bribery and any Rule card which makes this mission worth 50 points for these two Ferengi alone!
• Study Interstellar Colony + Inversion Mystery + Heal Life-Form + Locutus of Borg + Service The Collective + Establish Gateway x3: Locutus can serve the Borg in the Delta Quadrant, too.
