The Continuing Committee is pleased to present Engage, our fifth full First Edition virtual expansion, and the second set in The Next Generation block. This fifty-three (53) card set will be released online at www.trekcc.org on Friday, November 2, 2012. Like The Next Generation before it, Engage focuses on affiliations from Star Trek: The Next Generation and continues with many of the themes previously introduced there.
The start of a new Romulan conquest begins with Always a Chess Game. This new play engine for the Romulans will help them go on a trilithium raid or hunt down the Romulan underground. They also gain new allies, not just your typical Romulan engineers, but Jean-Luc Picard acting as an undercover agent. Now if only he had someone to mindmeld with...
The Federation, the Klingons, and the Ferengi all get something as well. Joret Dal is one additon to the Federation. Just be sure to keep him away from Miles if you want to prevent military escalation!
There are also some new conversion cards that will look familiar to the Second Edition players. In addition to the Antedean Assassins, there are several new missions. These will help add some variety to the spaceline in block format, as the new Romulan starter deck will to sealed block format.
