The Romulans seem to be the first to get any "dual" concept. Just as the first dual-affiliation card (Major Rakalimage) was Romulan (and Federation) so was the very first dual-personnel card. With their dual Treachery and restriction against working with Klingons with Honor, the Sisters of Duras are a far better fit with their Romulan guise than with their "secondary" Klingon affiliation. They can supply half or more of the needed Treachery for all the multi-Treachery Romulan missions, including the 45-point Wormhole Negotiationsimage.

Lursa's Leadership allows them to start a battle, while her Geology can be essential for Odoimage's "Cousin" or Seismic Quakeimage. B'Etor's Physics wasn't so handy until it was required to pass Quantum Fissureimage. Their Greed will let you play 33rd Rule of Acquisitionimage, and together with their Treachery will let them pass Chula: The Gameimage. They can even pass a Ferengi Attackimage doubled by Taarimage.

While they're somewhat more restricted if you want to use them in Klingon mode, there are plenty of Honor-less Klingons available, especially with some help from the Mirror Quadrant. You may want to have the single versions of their personas, the premiere set Lursa and B'Etor, ready to swap for the dual card, just in case you find a need to use some Klingons with Honor.

    Combos:

    • Sisters of Duras + Cha'Johimage: Romulan or Klingon, the Sisters can get double matching commander benefits aboard their similarly dual-affiliation ship.
    • Sisters of Duras + Bat'lethimage: With their combined native STRENGTH of 15, enhanced to 19 with a single Bat'leth, the Sisters can mortally wound just about any adversary - either directly or using the Bat'leth's ability.
    • Sisters of Duras + Major Rakalimage + Neralimage + Devinoni Ralimage + Diplomatic Conferenceimage: The first "easy" Diplomatic Conference combo is still one of the best. All four V.I.P.s can report to one Romulan Outpostimage seeded at the Conference, then switch affiliations when needed to attempt the mission.
