    Two of the most important bridge crew members in the Premiere set pair up in Enhanced Premiere: Jean-Luc Picardimage and Beverly Crusherimage, each bringing their most significant skills to the pair. A single card play adds to your Away Team two classifications, five regular skills, and a special download. Diplomacy and 2 MEDICAL alone will go a long way toward passing many of the Premiere dilemmas you will encounter in both Warp Speed and standard constructed-deck play; Exobology will be useful both for the "bundled" Enhanced Premiere space mission and for many dilemmas; and Archaeology comes into play for several Premiere missions including the common Excavationimage and its Mission II version.

    The pair will have a particular advantage in personnel battle. First they make up for their low individual STRENGTHs by fighting as a pair with a total STRENGTH of 9 (or 15 with a single Phaser Rifle). In addition, Beverly can suspend play to special download a Hyposprayimage, allowing her to stun whatever adversary they face.

    While the pair has Staff ability rather than Command ability icons, and Jean-Luc lacks matching commander status for the Enterprise, persona exchanges can give you tremendous flexibility. Get two personnel in play with one card play, use Beverly's special download, then exchange them at the start of your turn for a Jean-Luc Picard and a Beverly Crusher from your hand, choosing the version according to your requirements for skills and matching commander. First Contact versions will get you Enterprise E icons and more special downloads, while Premiere versions will fetch Command icons as well as extra Diplomacy and Music. Either way you add Navigation and Biology.

    Combos:

    • Jean-Luc and Beverly + Investigate Anomaly IIimage: In Warp Speed format, seed the pair at your built-in outpost and Beverly provides the only required mission skill.
    • Jean-Luc and Beverly + Jean-Luc Picardimage + Beverly Crusherimage: Exchange personas in either direction, mixing and matching the Premiere and First Contact single characters to suit the situation.
