    Preparation

Mission briefings with senior staff are important for information and planning. Lack of preparation can be costly in some instances.

    Interrupt Interrupt

Plays if you have personnel with four different classifications at a mission you have not attempted. Glance at bottom seed card. OR Nullifies Lack of Preparation (but still lose points).

    Preparation

Here's a mini-Scan for either planet or space. It doesn't discard a dilemma, like Senior Staff Meetingimage, but it requires only any four classifications instead of five specific personnel types, and it works for planets. Get a sneak peek and decide how to start your mission attempt. Or see if that card your opponent seeded at his mission was an artifact or a self-seeded dilemma, and maybe foul up his strategy.

The other use can be just as important. The hardest part of Lack of Preparation isn't always the 10 points, it's the fact that the dilemma stops you and must be encountered again, risking all your mission-solvers in order to get past it. Followed by a Yutaimage, you're almost certain to be in big trouble. Play Preparation, and you get past the dilemma while still safe-guarding your important personnel.

    Combo:

    • Preparation + Diplomatic Conferenceimage + Lack of Preparation: What's 10 points when your precious "off-affiliation" V.I.P.s are kept safe to solve this for 60?
