Though fairly easy to nullify with two ENGINEER (you'll be hard put to make this one work against a skill-sharing Borg Cubeimage, or even most Federation crews), if it does take it's a great setup for several combos. With no conditions, the dilemma doesn't stop your crew, so they must continue the mission attempt. Though there isn't much in the way of dilemmas that require WEAPONS, DS9 has two missions that require them, either as a prerequisite to attempting the mission, or to solve it. If your opponent has one of those missions in play, it's a perfect spot for your Isolinear Puzzle.

    Combos:

    • Isolinear Puzzle + Cytheriansimage: If you can't bring in the ENGINEERS to nullify the Puzzle, you'll be a long time on the road to the end of the spaceline.
    • Isolinear Puzzle + Birth of "Junior": Hasten the big bang by 4 turns.
    • Isolinear Puzzle + Refuse Immigrationimage: Eliminate one way of solving the mission.
