    Chula: The Chandra

    The Chandra is part of an elaborate Wadi game which requires players to advance through several shaps or levels. To get past this shap, players must precisely mimic the Chandra.

    One person (random selection) continues, along with all crew or Away Team members who have at least one attribute number matching that personnel. Others are "stopped".

    For a personnel to continue past this dilemma, at least one attribute number must match the same attribute on the randomly selected personnel (e.g., INTEGRITY must match INTEGRITY). Apply all relevant attribute modifiers. See dual-personnel cards.

    This dilemma can pack a very powerful punch because it is so random and unpredictable - neither you nor your opponent can do very much to sway the outcome. The Chandra is a potent filter, stopping all personnel who can't "mimic" an attribute of a selected personnel. Just how good can this be? Take a look at the Deep Space 9 / Terok Norimage main characters of Benjamin Siskoimage, Julian Bashirimage, Jadzia Daximage, Kira Nerysimage and Odoimage. If they were all in an Away Team together, at least three would be stopped by The Chandra.

    A look at the some of the more popular personnel for other affiliations turns up similar results. With the Cardassians Dukatimage, Enabran Tainimage, Elim Garakimage and Turrelimage, The Chandra would stop at least half of them. Among the most useful Klingons like Governor Worfimage, K'chiQimage, Kitrikimage, and Martokimage, you can do no better. Start adding in Non-Aligned personnel with widly different attributes from your primary affiliation, and things get even more interesting. How many people will being able to mimic a selected Roga Danarimage? How about Loreimage?

    Combos:

    • Lack of Preparationimage + Chula: The Chandra + Barclay's Protomorphosis Diseaseimage: Even if you Scanimage this and see it coming, will you be able to do much about it?
    • Chula: The Chandra + Assassin's Bladeimage: First split up your opponent's Team, then you can have your choice of the ones who made it through.
    • Chula: The Chandra + Qimage: Almost guaranteed to let you rearrange the spaceline to your liking.
