This artifact can be a life-saver if you get stuck with a Dal'Rok at your outpost location, by keeping the Dal'Rok at bay while you report enough personnel to nullify it. Looking at it from the other side, you don't know where your opponent is going to put his outpost, so it's a matter of luck and educated guesswork where you should seed the Dal'Rok. But with the Orb Fragment, you needn't guess; keep a Dal'Rok in your Q's Tent and play it as an event before he attempts his outpost mission. The artifact will protect your crew from the immediate kill when you play it, and you can leave while he has to fight to keep every reported personnel alive.
Combo:
- Orb Fragment + HQ: Return Orb to Bajor + Dal'Rok in your Q's Tent: Seed the artifact last and grab it before your opponent has a chance to build up a pool of personnel, then sabotage his outpost mission.
