    Coalescent Organism

    Rare colony of microscopic lifeforms which kill, absorb, and then take the shape of other organisms. Must change form every few days.

    Dilemma Dilemma - Dual dilemma Dual
    Unless Exobiology present, one personnel (random selection) dies at end of your next turn. If others present at the death, organism is passed on to one of them (random selection), etc.

    This dilemma can be passed on to anyone who is present at the end of the turn, regardless of ownership. The dilemma is played on the selected personnel. Discard it if the personnel dies alone or from some other cause.

    This dilemma is relatively easy to overcome (a single Exobiology), but if you fail to pass it, there's only one way to get rid of it: let the victim die alone (or kill him otherwise before the dilemma does). If anyone else is present when he dies from the dilemma, it is passed on to someone else, he dies and passes it along again and so on. Far better to dump the victim on a planet to die alone. If you can get him off your ship. Of course, that might lead to unintended complications...

     

    Combos:
    Gravimetric Distortion + Attack Wing + Coalescent Organism: Let's try to get rid of any potential Exobiology first.

    Aphasia Device + Coalescent Organism: End of each turn, one personnel is disabled and one dies from the Coalescent, passing it on to someone else.

    Coalescent Organism + Dixon Hill's Business Card: Would you like to keep your coalesced personnel aboard your ship, and let him pass the organism on, or would you rather strand him to die alone and let your opponent capture one of your live personnel?

    Coalescent Organism + Risky Business: Maybe beaming him off the ship wasn't such a good idea after all.
